Let me serve you...
and your little one
Nadia Taylor, CD(DONA)
From Maiden to Mother
"There is a phase in labour, appropriately called transition, where a woman will meet her breaking point.
She'll feel as though she can't go on, and she is right. The maiden in her is not strong enough for the task at hand.
It's during this time that the maiden in her dies so that the women can be reborn as a mother, with her child.
A new, more capable version of herself with far more strength than she has ever known."
My name is Nadia Taylor. I started my business in 2009 when I discovered what a doula was, and I fell in love and began my journey to becoming a skilled, knowledgeable, passionate birth advocate and support. Educating women on how to prepare for their birth and postpartum during their pregnancy, what to expect from their bodies during labour, physiologically, -along with learning their options and choices for their birth, (be it home birth or hospital birth) is my jam. I also am passionate about providing helping women find their village, and serving them as a postpartum doula at home and treating women like a queen.
I believe empowering women like yourself with this knowledge leads to better outcomes for you, your baby and your family. I want to ease your fears and worries and replace them with peace and trust because...
I believe in YOU and your INTUITION and ability to give birth to your baby!
I believe that you can find strength and courage you didn’t realize you had all along. During labour and birth the connection that can arise between you and your partner can grow to a deeper level as a couple. I believe in the bravery that comes with being vulnerable, and sometimes that may be showing another version of yourself you didn't know you had. I believe we can honor this transformation from being a woman into a mother and that bond with your partner by capturing and documenting your whole birth story — wherever it happens, however it happens, every time it happens.
